Refund policy

7-day refund window. No questions asked.

Every paid stage has a 7-day refund window from purchase. Within that window, you can request a full refund for any reason — or no reason. After 7 days, lifetime access applies and the curriculum is yours to revisit indefinitely. This page documents the policy in full, including process, timeline, exceptions, and how it interacts with cohort enrolment and bundle pricing.

Short version: 7 days, full refund, original payment method. To request: email support@bharathshiksha.com with your registered email and the words "refund request" in the subject.

The 7-day window

The 7-day refund window starts at the moment of purchase confirmation (Razorpay payment receipt timestamp). It runs for 7 calendar days, not working days, ending at the same time on the 7th day. Refund requests received after the window are subject to the discretionary review process described below.

The window applies per stage. If you've enrolled in Stage 1 today and Stage 2 in 30 days, each has its own 7-day refund window from its respective purchase date.

Refund process

  1. Email support@bharathshiksha.com with your registered email and "refund request" in subject line.
  2. Refund processed to your original payment method via Razorpay. Banking-side timing depends on your bank.
  3. Account access revoked. On refund completion, login is disabled and downloaded materials should be deleted.

What gets refunded

  • The full purchase amount as paid through Razorpay. Currency conversion costs (if you paid in non-INR) are non-refundable as those are intermediated by your card / bank.
  • Taxes (GST, etc.) are refunded along with the principal amount as part of the standard refund flow.

Cohort-specific refund details

Cohort enrolment is structurally identical to solo enrolment for refund purposes — same 7-day window, same process. Two cohort-specific notes:

  • Refunding mid-cohort. Within 7 days of cohort enrolment but cohort already started: full refund. Cohort thread access revoked. Lifetime access to the solo path (same content, no cohort) can be retained at half the cohort price (₹2,499) if you request the conversion at refund time. Most students who request this are working-life-conflict cases who want to continue at their own pace.
  • Refund returns the seat to the public pool. If a cohort is full and you refund within 7 days, your seat is returned and offered to the next student on the waitlist. Cohort cap is enforced regardless of mid-cohort refunds.
One thing to note about lifetime access: after the 7-day refund window, access becomes lifetime. We mean lifetime literally — no annual fees, no automatic renewals, no surprise charges. The trade-off is that refunds after 7 days are discretionary, not automatic. Most students who request post-window refunds for genuine reasons (medical, family, career change) receive full or partial refunds; the discretion exists to prevent abuse, not to enable revenue retention.

What's not refundable

  • Bundle stage-by-stage refunds after 7 days. All-Inclusive bundle is sold as a unit. Refunding a single stage from a bundle after the 7-day window isn't structurally possible — the bundle pricing reflects stage-bundling.
  • Cohort enrolment after the cohort completes. Once you've completed a 12-week cohort, the experience has been delivered. Discretionary refunds for completed cohorts apply only to compliance-related complaints (e.g., curriculum quality found materially wanting after capstone).
  • Affiliate commission earned by you on others' enrolments. Affiliate commissions paid to you for referrals are independent of any refund of your own enrolment. If a person you referred refunds within 7 days, your commission for that referral is also reversed (standard affiliate program practice).
  • Prior-cohort discount codes used by you. If you used a graduation-bonus discount code (e.g., 15% off Stage 2 after Foundation completion) and then refund Stage 2 within 7 days, the discount code is consumed and cannot be re-used for a future Stage 2 enrolment.

Discretionary post-window refunds

The discretionary review path exists for genuine reasons that don't fit the standard 7-day window: medical emergencies, sudden career changes, family circumstances, or technical / quality concerns we couldn't address through Stage 1–3 escalation. Discretionary review:

  • File via grievance redressal Stage 2 (escalation to curriculum@bharathshiksha.com).
  • Include circumstances, what would constitute satisfactory resolution (full refund, partial refund, access pause, etc.), and supporting documentation if relevant.
  • Decision within 7 working days. Most discretionary requests with genuine circumstances receive favourable resolution.
  • The decision is documented in writing with reasoning, even if not in your favour.

Records & transparency

Refund volumes (aggregate, anonymised) are reported in the quarterly compliance report (Q1 2026 report). Public disclosure of refund metrics is part of the academy's compliance posture. Individual refund details are private and not disclosed.
